Back to the Future in Beirut, Lebanon: Back to the Resistance of 1975.

It seems that the Hezbollah/Aoun Coup D'etat against the Lebanese state,
against which we warned long ago, is underway. After the fall of West Beirut
to the terrorists, we expect an invasion of the Shuf Mountain within 24-48 hours.
However, an invasion of Bikfaya by the Ba'athists and the Syrian Socialist
National Party backed by Hezbollah/Aounists is very possible.

It seems that we are back to the future in Beirut, Lebanon, precisely to April 13,
1975. After the war broke out, the existence of the Lebanese democratic, free,
and pluralistic system depended on the strength of the Lebanese resistance
back then, which was composed of Kataeb/Ahrar/GOC (LF.)  Today, however,
we are joined by the nationalists Lebanese Sunnis, Druze, and the Free Shiite
Movement led by Mufti Amin.

Having said that, it is important to note that the Lebanese government headed
by PM Fouad Saniora is playing it smart and right. When the security of the
Grand Sarayh, which hosts the Lebanese government, became under the mercy
of the terrorists, the Cabinet issued a statement in which it adopted the
declaration that was issued by MP Saad Hariri from his residence in Kraytem.
Today, after the fall of Kraytem, the Lebanese cabinet adopted the March 14
declaration, which was issued after their meeting in Merab and which was
announced by Dr. Samir Geagea. BY DOING SO, THE CABINET IS
CONSTANTLY  DELEGATING THE DECISION MAKING TO THOSE IN FREE
REGIONS. Thus keeping the Lebanese decision free.

Accordingly, the so called Eastern Region, which is the area north-east of
Beirut, is the last line in defense for Lebanon and its pluralistic and democratic
system. Will it stand the aggression of the terrorists backed by Iran and Syria?
Without a doubt! In 1975, the whole world abandoned this region or fought
against its people. Yet, they resisted for fifteen years. They won the war, but
unfortunately, they lost the peace that was brokered in the Taef, Saudi Arabia,
which brought us back to this undesirable situation.  Let us hope that the world
will not stand still this time, or at least it won’t support the terrorists against the
Lebanese people and state by entering a truce. We assure everyone that, once
again, the free Lebanese people will prevail. Lebanon will be victorious!

Meanwhile, we consider the occupation of Beirut and parts of Lebanon by the
Syrio-Iranian terrorists is a great threat to world peace, especially the Arab and
European countries. Furthermore, we believe that the International Community
and the United States in particular must deal with this Coup D'etat as part of the
war on terrorism. The fall of free Lebanon is the fall of the first line of defence
of the free and democratic world. Such defeat in Lebanon will lead to the
collapse of the international forces in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan. This will
allow the axis of evil countries to have the high morale and the courage to
challenge the rest of the free world.

Thus, we urge the International Community, especially the Arab League, to
take a courageous stand against the barbarian terrorists who occupied Beirut,
the capital of Lebanon.  As Lebanese abroad, we assure our beloved people
in Lebanon that the Diaspora is able, willing, and ready to do its utmost to help
liberate Lebanon from the Syrio-Iranian terrorists. Freedom is our dream,
peace is our goal, and resistance is our only choice. Lebanon is ours, in God
we trust, and we will prevail.
